One day trip on the Sázava River:
Kácov (near the brewery) - Český Šternberk (14 km). The section has enough water all year round and is therefore passable in any season. There are several refreshment and resting options along the way.
Český Šternberk - Sázava (camp Pod Vrbou). Around the river, forests and rocks, simply romantic.
Týnec nad Sázavou - Pikovice (16 km). The stretch is suitable for more experienced paddlers, there are several nice weirs and a few merry rapids on the route.

Don't want to spend the whole day on the water, or just try out how you get on in a boat with small children or your four-legged pet, for example? In Český Šternberk, you can use the so-called rent-a-boat under the castle, where you can rent a boat for an hour and sail on the very calm Sázava River a short distance upstream and then back again. The view of Český Šternberk Castle is worth it. You can also rent paddleboards or kayaks and try something new. Hourly rentals are also possible at the Horka campsite by prior arrangement.
If you don't feel like going on the water, you can rent a Kostka scooter and go for a trip on land.
