The monastery was built in Poličany by the Trappists (a Cistercian order of strict observance). Here you can attend the liturgy of the nuns in the monastery church, use the services of the guest house or shop in the shop with products of monasteries from Bohemia, Italy and France.
The monastery is home to Trappist women (Cistercian order of strict observance), mostly from the Czech Republic. The Trappists live according to the Rule of St. Benedict "Pray and Work", so that each day consists of liturgical and personal prayer with manual work.
The sisters earn their living by working in the fields, where they cultivate vegetables, grow fruit in orchards, keep bees and sell honey, and among other things, make delicious traditional Italian cookies, which you can buy in the shop with their other products.
The monastery also has a guest house where everyone can spend a few days in peace and quiet and recharge their batteries.
